Frequently asked questions
- Which days count as business days?
- Business days are Monday to Friday. The calculator removes every Saturday and Sunday from the range. It uses a simple weekend-only model, so the count is the plain Monday-to-Friday total for the dates you choose.
- Does it account for public holidays?
- No. Public holidays differ by country, region and year, so the calculator counts only the standard weekend, Saturday and Sunday. If your dates include public holidays, subtract those from the result to get true office days.
- How does "add business days" work?
- Starting from your date, the calculator steps forward one day at a time and counts only weekdays until it has added the number you asked for. So adding one business day to a Friday lands on the following Monday, because Saturday and Sunday are skipped.
- Does this work offline and is anything sent to a server?
- The calculation runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is sent anywhere, and once the page has loaded it keeps working with no connection. There is no sign-up and no limit on how many dates you check.
