Frequently asked questions
- How many days until my birthday?
- Enter your birth date and the calculator counts the full days from today to your next birthday. If today is your birthday it shows zero days, and the day after it counts down from the full gap to the following year.
- What happens to a 29 February birthday?
- In a year without a 29 February, the countdown treats the birthday as 28 February, so a leap-day birthday still gets a yearly countdown rather than skipping three years out of four. In a leap year it lands on 29 February as normal.
- Which age does it say I am turning?
- It shows the age you reach on the next birthday. So if you are 24 now, the countdown counts down to the day you turn 25, and on that day it confirms the new age.
- Does this work offline and is anything sent to a server?
- The calculation runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is sent anywhere, and once the page has loaded it keeps working with no connection. There is no sign-up and no limit on how many dates you check.
